Latest creation whipped up in less than an hour. Some are so easy to put together and others require so much patience. |
Whilst out op-shopping I discovered an amazing pair of port wine leather pants from London.....so as you can imagine I was a little excited at the idea of another creative bag and this is the outcome. The weight of the leather is fabulous and when I was sewing it together I could'nt help but think that this leather had so much history particularly as the knees were somewhat worn and stretched out!

It was the funnest day out op-shopping, being that it was in a familar part of town that I haven't visited since coming back to Australia. I felt very much at home and had no expectations about what I might find. I was actually shedding kilos of clothing and unwanted cushions, linen into the bins and that was so very refreshing so it was lovely to get such a surprise and come home to sew and produce this so quickly.....it's got me fired up again!
You must be extra happy that these didn't belong to an XXL person though I guess a tote that size wouldn't be bad either. haha Cherrie
ReplyDeleteYou are full of amazing ideas willywagtail. I have a XXL olive pair "under-construction" and that's a fab idea! x
ReplyDeleteI was just being cheeky. You sure are on a roll. I'll be happy if I get a zip in today and finish converting a dress into a skirt. Cherrie
ReplyDeleteMy bags are alllll a nightmare to put together so its nice for you to have the surprise factor of easy ones sometimes. I like the sound of the olive bag, x
