Aren't these sea green danish chairs just divine and the colour of this floor is just what I am seeking to find?

enough already...

This is my 6th day under "house arrest" with the flu...enough already. I'm not good at staying in bed during the day but I've had no choice with this bug. It's really NASTY!

I've read 3 novels, watched more TV than I care for, although loved watching "Come fly with me." It's a must see 1960's movie set in Paris and Vienna.

Although my room is my haven and I'm am surrounded by beautiful things including the Mr. it's time to evacuate and spend some time....mmmmm.....let's see in the lounge room perhaps. Think I am ready for that today considering the All Blacks are playing and it's going to be an absolute cracker.

I'm now a week behind on these which are due in 2 weeks and need to be submitted as Working Drawings on the drafting board, but when I'm not sure?? Really need my head screwed on correctly for these.

I have dates with Kasper, Nessy and a sewing session with Miss Patton coming up too so could someone please send me the get better real quick fairy!? I treasure my time with the gals....

Thank you to all of my lovely friends and mumma for all of the yummy soup and for looking after my family with home-cooked meals. You are gems and we have been very spoilt.

So here's to Richie and the boys who are going to whip the Wallabies, an afternoon of interstate and overseas phone calls and to the week ahead....looking forward to the warmth, sunshine and life!

DinkyMe

"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different," Coco Chanel, is the opening statement of DinkyMe's Etsy Store at www.etsy.com/shop/DinkyMe and I believe she is keeping true to that. Wouldn't you agree?! Have a look at these....

Adelin Paige Hill has captured an eclectic moment with her combination of prints, florals and stripes which are featured in my blog this evening. I adore her latest designs....I think they are oh so scrumptous! Congratulations on a fabulous line and look forward to the unveiling of more goodies!! xx

Be sure to have a peek over at her store at the above address.

on the "lookout"

They are few and far between at the moment but this is what we are after....an abode that's relaxed, unpretentious, by the beach, full of laughter and love!

We may have to be patient.

Ideas for small spaces come in handy when buying by the beach as our beach house will no doubt be small, as real estate is expensive these days, but hey who needs loads of space, as long as it is functional, livable and is a happy place to be. Knocking out a standard door, adding a floor to ceiling door is an inexpensive but striking addition to a renovation, would'nt you agree? The bulkhead would have to go though..

The excitment is building in our household. We have missed not being by the water, whether it be the lake or the sea. We envision long walks on the beach with our dogs, the sea spray on our faces, walks in the forest,
long, lazy lunches with family and friends, and afternoon drives exploring the coast and further afield.

palette

One afternoon whilst on holiday Kasper and I found ourselves the only ones not taking an afternoon nap but rather perusing the magazines and books drinking hot tea. Lucky for me I was introduced to Bill's latest cook book which is simply divine and a must for every kitchen.

Not only is it a feast for the taste palette but a great inspiration for the new colour palette for my bach by the beach in Mornington.

Saturday's Treasures

These September holidays saw us spending 6 days in the South Australian Outback spending time with family and friends.

Come Saturday after loading and hanging out 9 loads of washing which is scattered on every avaliable spare space, Avalon and I decided enough is enough of the domestification that we had to get out for a spot of op-shopping and head out to our favourite haunts down south and we weren't disappointed!

I've been hopelessly homesick of late and have found solice in my collection of Genuine Ironstone from New Zealand. They are going to be a lovely addition to my summer bbq collection of plates and bowls which I'm so looking forward to using in our new surrounds by the beach this summer.
